Requirement for Maldives Visa Application:

* Possession of a valid international travel document issued by the Government of a Sovereign State.
* Possession of a valid return air ticket to a destination where the passenger has permission to enter, together with necessary visas for the onward journey to the next destination.
* Possession of minimum of US$30.00 per person per day or confirmed hotel reservation for the intended period of stay in the Maldives.
Following are exempted from this requirement.
* Diplomats
* UN Personnel
* Approved persons for employment
* Technical and other experts attached to the Government
* Those who have confirm bookings in registered tourist resort/hotels etc.
* Those sponsored by Maldivians

Normally, time required is one month, if you stay more few days more, must fill an application form requesting to extend your visa.

How to fly directly from Maldives to Dhaka, Bangladesh?

There is not any direct flight from Dhaka to Maldives.



  • One completed visa application form
  • Two recent passport size photo (size ¾ cm)
  • Valid Passport, for at least 6 months
  • A letter of introduction from your employer/sponsor stating the purpose and duration of your trip
  • Visa processing fee
  • Possibly a short interview

  • We strongly recommend all visitors to extend their visa prior to expiry, if they wish to stay longer than the permitted duration. If the visa are not extended on the due date, the holder of the passport will be fined US$2 for each day during the first month of the delay, US$5 for each day during the second month of the delay (fined can be paid at ports). If the delay is more than two months, in addition to the fine, the holder will be deported.
  • We strongly recommend foreign visitors to register with their embassy in Kabul, the local Afghan Police Department and the Afghan Tourist Organization (if the visit is for tourism purposes only) on arrival.
  • During your stay in Afghanistan, we respectfully request our visitors to respect local culture and sensitivities.
  • Photos and Cinematographic films can be taken after obtaining previous permission in writing from the Tourist Bureau, Press Department, located on the first floor of the Ministry of Information and Culture Building.
  • Transportation of some rare birds out of the country is illegal. Therefore, visitors must contact the Afghan Tourist Bureau to obtain more information and relevant export certificate.
  • Tourists may export duty free 30 sqm carpets, 10 skins excluding Karakul, cut and polished precious stones including Lapis Lazuli, handicrafts and a limited variety of antiques.
  • Upon arrival, visitors are required to declare all foreign currency (If the amount exceeds 1million AFS or its equivalent value) that they carry. Please ask for ‘Ansari Application Form’ at the airport.

Visa Requirement for Pakistan:


A.   Original, signed United States passport with at least 6 months of                  remaining validity.
B
Passport-type photographs: 2

Driver's license. Copy of driver's license, state issued ID, or major utility bill (Water, Gas, Electric, Sewage) for the most recent month, showing the applicant's name and current address.
D
Personal Invitation. If visiting friends or family, you must provide letter of invitation with the contact information of the host and visitor, purpose and duration of the visit, confirmation of accommodation including the address, signature and date. You will also need to provide proof of the host's status in Pakistan ie. copy of their Pakistan passport's information page, or, if they are not a citizen of Pakistan, copies of their Pakistan residence permit and their national passport's information pages.

Tourist invitation. A letter of invitation from a tour operator in Pakistan. The tour operator must also provide a copy of its registration letter with the Ministry of Tourism in Pakistan.

Military supplemental form. Current and former military personnel must fill out the military service supplemental information form. 
Please be advised that most applications require a clearance from Pakistan. This can extend the processing time by several weeks.

Additional required documents for minors (under 18):

Birth Certificate. A copy of the applicant's birth certificate.
Parents' passport copies. Copies of the information pages or both parents' passports.


Visa Requirement for Sri Lanka:


Tourist Visas

Bangladeshi Nationals visiting Sri Lanka as tourists or business purposes are permitted to enter Sri Lanka without prior visas and will be given a 30-day visa on arrival.
Those who wish to obtain visas prior to their departure may obtain visas by submitting the following documents:
  • Duly completed Visa Application Form
  • Valid Passport (Valid for at least 06 months)
  • Copies of pages 1-5 of the Passport
  • Return air ticket and photocopy of the ticket
  • Invitation or offer letter from Sri Lanka
  • Two copies of recently taken passport size colour photographs
  • At least US$ 1000/= (for 30 days) US$ 500/- (for 2 weeks) foreign exchange endorsement or Receipt of the endorsement.  If Credit Card is used, the balance should be certified by the respective bank. (If the applicant is sponsored, he/she will be exempted from the above requirement.)
  • Visa Fee Taka 2100.00/-
Business Visa (in addition to the above requirements)
  • Letter from the local employer / agency giving details and the purpose of visit with specific dates of travel
  • Invitation / offer/ correspondence from relevant organization in Sri Lanka
Gratis Visa


Prior visas are required. In addition to the item Nos. 1,2,3,5 & 6 indicated under the requirements of Tourist Visa, the following are required:

  • Government Order
  • Note Verbale from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh or relevant International Organization
  • Diplomatic/Official Passport
Residence Visa
  • The local company/organization in Sri Lanka has to make a request to Department of Immigration & Emigration in Sri Lanka for prior approval with the following documents:
    • The name and the nationality
    • Duration of stay
    • Nature of assignment
    • Recommendation of the line Ministry /organization/BOI
  • Department of Immigration & Emigration will inform the Mission to issue entry visa valid for one month. Any other visas cannot be converted to residence visa after arrival in Sri Lanka.
Visas for Journalists

The following are required:
  • A temporary import document known as “Carnet” needs to be submitted for professional cameras and media equipments to be carried to Sri Lanka
  • In the absence of a Carnet, a bank guarantee for the value of the equipments/the camera
  • If the visit is sponsored by a State institute in Sri Lanka, a guarantee letter from that institute ensuring that equipments will be exported
  • A prior license from Telecommunication Regulatory Commission is necessary for telephone equipments such as satellite phones.
  • Personal camera and video equipments need not be declared
  • Recommendation of media accreditation will be extended only to media personnel in possession of a relevant entry visa obtained from a Sri Lankan Mission abroad.
Other Visas (Seminars / Scholarships etc.)

Prior visas are required.  The required documents are as follows:
  • Invitation/offer letter from the Institute or International Organization
  • Request letter from attached Bangladesh institute

  2. Could be obtained from the reception desk of the Sri Lanka High Commission between 9.00 a.m. and 12.00 a.m. during working days (Sunday to Thursday except Public Holidays)
Issuance of Visas

From 3.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. following day

Visa Requirement for Bhutan:

All travelers except Indian residents require visa for traveling to Bhutan. 

In order to process Bhutan visa we require clear readable colour copy of passport (page containing passport no and face picture in JPEG or PDF format) at least 20 days prior to date of entry into Bhutan. Remaining validity of passport should be at least 6 months from the date of exit from Bhutan.
Tourism Council of Bhutan issues visa clearance letter closer to traveling date which we email or fax you or your local travel agent. Travelers are required to produce aforesaid visa clearance copy at the time of check-in for Druk Air flight while those entering Bhutan by surface via Phuentsholing or Samdrup Jonkhar, they are required to produce this Visa Clearance letter at the Immigration counter. Actual visa is stamped at passport on arrival in Bhutan.
Visa only service is not offered in Bhutan, guests have to buy full service tour package from local tour operator that includes accommodation, guided tours, transfers etc.
Visa fee of US$ 40 (increased from Jan 2013) is included in the tour package cost.
* Guests are required to have multiple entry visa for india if they are traveling to Bhutan from India and again returning to India from Bhutan.



Visa Information for Nepal:

1)Tourist visas can be obtained on arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. and designated entry points in Nepal.
2)Any one willing to obtain visa at the Embassy has to follow the following procedures:
a.Nepali Visa Application Forms are accepted everyday from Sunday to Thursday from 9:30 am to 10:30am.Visa application form not signed by the applicant and without photo will not  be entertained.
b.It normally takes one working day to process visa.
c.Diplomatic and official visas are issued on the basis of official written communication.
3)Visa Application Form is available free of charge from the Embassy Visa Gate from 9:00am to 10:30 am.
4)Following Documents are required with Visa Application:
a.  Recent passport size photograph ( 01 copy ) and passport photocopy.
b.For “Business” passport holdersOriginal  Trade License (notarized and with English translation) & valid Bangla Trade License ( photocopy) and visiting card.
c.For “Private Service” passport holdersRecommendation letter from the employer and employer’s English translated & notarized Trade License (Original) & valid Bangla Trade License  (photocopy) and visiting card and Valid ID Card photocopy.
d.For “Student” passport holdersValid original student ID Card & last Educational Certificate (attested photocopy) or a recommendation letter from the College/University.
e.For Group VisaSubmission of a name list with passport numbers on a College/University/ official letter pad with recommendation from department head (with official seal and signature of the Department head). That letter has to be faxed to the Embassy before submission of  the application.
f.For all VisaDhaka - Kathmandu - Dhaka Two way confirm tickets.

7)Visa Fees:
a.Tourist visas for the nationals of SAARC Countries are  issued free of charge for the first VISA in one visa year ( 01 January to 31 December) and the second visa in the same year will be subject to a visa fee.
b.The fees for the issuance of Tourist Visas to the Foreigners and Second Visa for SAARC Countries in the same VISA year are as follows:
1.For 15 Days Multiple Entries Tourist VisaTaka – 2200.00
2.For 30 Days Multiple Entries Tourist VisaTaka – 3500.00
3For 90 Days Multiple Entries Tourist VisaTaka – 9000.00
